Lucy qualified is a partner in the London private client team. She is a member of STEP, the world's leading organisation for private wealth professionals, and sits on the STEP London City Branch committee. She advises high net worth individuals, families and trustees on a broad range of private wealth, tax and trust matters. Her work focuses on wealth and succession planning for UK and international families, including remittance and pre-immigration planning, tax-efficient financial arrangements post-divorce, succession planning for family businesses and administering complex estates. With a varied client base, she works closely with colleagues in the family, immigration, employment and property departments.
Qualifitying as a solicitor in 2011, Lucy has published articles in various private client media, including Trusts and Estates Law & Tax Journal and Private Client Adviser, and has co-authored the Practical Law Company Private Client Multi-Jurisdictional Guide for England and Wales. At the invitation of Cambridge University, she has presented to potential undergraduates on a career in the law. She was awarded a STEP Excellence Award for her performance in the STEP diploma and holds a STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients.
A recommended lawyer in The Legal 500, Lucy was named as one of eprivateclient's 'Top 35 Under 35' in both 2016 and 2018. She received the gold award in the 'Lawyer of the Year - Associate' category at the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2016, having also received the Tomorrow Club Award at the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards 2015. She featured in the Citywealth Leaders List and Future Leaders 100 List for 2017, and is a member of the Association International des Jeunes Avocats (AIJA). She joined Penningtons Manches in 2009.
