A partner in the Reading office, David has wide-ranging experience in all areas of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious, having specialised in this area since he qualified in 1991. He advises on various issues including managing terminations of employment, defending complex employment tribunal claims, outsourcing (including all TUPE issues), employment policies and procedures as well as restrictive covenants and confidential information.
In addition to offering bespoke in-house training workshops to his clients, David regularly lectures and writes on employment law issues. He has recently contributed articles in Personnel Today and presents at the annual Employment Law seminar to the North Hampshire CIPD.
The latest editions of both The Legal 500 and Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession recommend David as a leader in his field. He is described as being ‘very commercial’ (The Legal 500) and an ‘experienced litigator who understands business and delivers a cost-effective service’ (Chambers UK). He and his team are also highlighted as providing ‘high calibre’ representation. David is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association.
