The charities team at Penningtons Manches has won its second award in as many weeks. Partner Alison Talbot and colleagues were delighted to take home the Advisory Provider of the Year award at the Charity Times Awards 2018 ceremony, which took place last night. The awards, now in their 19th year, recognise excellence across the sector.
Penningtons Manches’ specialist team was shortlisted alongside four other well-known firms. The judges commended the team for shedding a light on a difficult issue in their efforts to enhance the relationship between legacy officers and private client practitioners. First tackled in its 2017 report Bridging the Gap, the team remained committed to developing a focus around the issue within the sector in 2018 and hosted an innovative new conference, The Legacy Conversation.
Established in 2016 by Alison Talbot, a recognised leader in the not for profit field by both Chambers UK and The Legal 500, the charities team brings together a group of highly experienced experts with a clear goal of combining common sense service with an understanding of clients’ charitable motivation and priorities.
Commenting on the latest award, Alison says: “We are so thrilled to be named the winner in this competitive category. I’m really proud that, although we are a relatively young team, our first few years have been such a success. It is really rewarding that all our hard work and focus on client service is acknowledged at respected events like the Charity Times Awards.”
