Our client had CDH that should have been diagnosed by a health visitor when she was 18 months old. According to expert evidence, it would have been successfully corrected with relatively straightforward surgery.
Instead, the CDH was missed and not diagnosed until our client was 7 years old, by which time our client was advised that surgery to relocate the hip would carry too great a risk of making her condition worse. She is therefore left with very significantly impaired mobility.
Our medical negligence solicitors successfully settled our client's claim for just under £250,000.
