Profile

Arran is a senior associate in the clinical negligence team. He qualified in 2014, having joined the firm as a trainee in 2012.

He deals with a mixed case load consisting of clinical negligence claims against NHS trusts, private surgeons and GPs in a number of different medical fields, including delayed diagnoses of prostate and colorectal cancers, negligence in orthopaedic (knee, hip, ankle, wrist and shoulder) surgery, ophthalmic treatment and management (including laser eye surgery claims), and claims relating to fatalities.

Arran also assists the team partner on high value, complex claims relating to amputations and catastrophic brain injuries.

Recent work highlights

Settling a claim for £91,000, as a result of a failure to diagnose and treat Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA), which resulted in our client’s sight loss.
Acting on a fatal claim for £146,500, arising from failure to diagnose and treat the deceased’s prostate cancer.
Advising on a high value settlement for £160,000, following a claim for nerve damage from a spinal injury.
Settling a fatal claim for £180,000 for a family following a negligent failure to diagnose and treat their deceased mother’s ankle infection.
Assisting on a case relating to a negligent failure to diagnose and treat infection, which resulted in amputation for our client.
