Profile

Andrew is a partner in the real estate team in Birmingham. He advises property developers, owner occupiers, landlords, tenants and property investors on all aspects of non-contentious commercial property work.

He specialises in commercial development and investment matters (including forward funding and joint ventures). Andrew has acted on a wide range of complex long-term mixed-use developments and redevelopments. He has particular experience in the industrial and logistics, research and development/high tech manufacturing, student accommodation and build to rent sectors.

Andrew joined the firm in July 2023. He is a member of the Investment Property Forum and is ranked as a leading individual for commercial property in the West Midlands by The Legal 500 which makes reference to his ‘diverse development expertise’.

Recent work highlights

Acting for the developer on the development of a micro-chip research and development and manufacturing facility in south Wales. The project value is circa £60 million, with an end value following fit out of circa £100 million.
Acting for the developer on a £50 million plus forward funding of a city centre build to rent development in a Midlands city centre, involving site assembly, highway closure and rights of light concerns.
Acting for the developer owner on the portfolio sale of recently developed bespoke student accommodation facilities to a UK investment fund.
Acting for the developer on a phased four-unit industrial and logistics scheme. This included all aspects from site acquisition and planning to pre-letting, forward funding and construction.
