Oxford University admits Penningtons partner to Chancellor’s Court of Benefactors

18/11/2009

Oxford University has recognised Penningtons' contribution to a leading educational trust by appointing Chris Lintott, a partner in the firm's private client team, to its Chancellor's Court of Benefactors.

The Chancellor usually confers this honour on the university's most significant supporters. The Court meets each autumn in Oxford, providing an opportunity for benefactors to have personal contact with the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, heads of colleges and senior academics, and to meet with other members of the Court.

Chris is one of the trustees of the City Solicitors' Educational Trust, a grouping of leading law firms in the City of London, which provides funds to assist the teaching of law in universities in the UK. Penningtons was one of its founder members. Chris is Penningtons' representative to the trust, and the person primarily responsible for the links with Oxford, of which he is a graduate.

Penningtons is very proud of the contribution it makes to fostering the study of law, and of Chris being honoured in this way.
