Substantial compensation for Alton Towers crash victim

We have achieved a settlement for one of the victims injured in June 2015 on The Smiler attraction at Alton Towers.

Liability for the accident was admitted immediately after the crash in respect of all the clients we were acting for following the incident.

Our client was in the carriage that collided with the stationary carriage on the ride’s tracks and she suffered the horrendous ordeal of being stuck for some five hours before being rescued by emergency services.

Being three rows back in the carriage she was not at the very front of the impact, but witnessed the aftermath of some very serious injuries to other passengers directly in front of her. She suffered with significant post traumatic stress disorder and received extensive psychological therapy. She also experienced considerable back and neck pain requiring her to be off work for some time.

Significant damages were secured.
