Preventing dishonest solicitor from being restored to the roll

We recently acted for the SRA in its appeal against the decision of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal to restore a solicitor who had been struck off some years before for dishonesty involving losses of around £3 million to the register.

Conducting the appeal were Katrina Wingfield and Hein Le Roux who successfully persuaded the court that the solicitor had committed a very serious wrongdoing in the first place and considerable losses had been incurred. As a result, the decision to restore his name to the roll was reversed.
