No time to waste

We are regularly instructed on claims for prolongation and extensions of time and related costs claims.

Recently we successfully advised an employer on defending a claim against a project manager and subsequently recovered £250,000 through the adjudication process for delays to the works. These were caused by the project manager’s failure to provide appropriate design information at relevant times.

We have also recently advised a key sub-contractor on a complex extension of time and prolongation claim in connection with the development of the Olympic Village. Here we recovered over three times the original contract values across four separate contracts. This involved working closely with claims consultants and technical advisers to model how delays accrued and establishing a contractual framework to demonstrate each delay was the responsibility of the main contractor.
