Multiple road traffic convictions amount to serious professional misconduct

Mr L appeared before his regulatory body's disciplinary committee in relation to a number of convictions for road traffic offences, including one for driving with excess alcohol. The committee heard that this was Mr L’s fifth conviction for drink driving since 2000 and that he had been sentenced to a period of imprisonment for this latest offence.

Nicole Curtis appeared on behalf of the regulator before its disciplinary committee. The committee found that the convictions amounted to serious professional misconduct but decided to postpone judgment for 12 months.
