Cruise ends in baggage area collision

A woman was in the process of disembarking from a cruise ship following a cruise with her husband. She was in the luggage hall when she was struck in the leg by another holidaymaker's trolley, causing her to suffer a large haematoma to her left leg which ulcerated.

She was left with a wound which resulted in a scar and which required daily dressing by her GP for over a year after the accident.

We drafted a letter of claim to the third party who collided with her and subsequently negotiated a settlement of £8,000 with his insurers.
