Banking Law

Here ate Penningtons our banking law team is able to deal with a whole host of banking transactions that are are either domestic or international. The contingent has many years of experience between them and are able to deal with a wide range of credit facilites, it doesn't matter if they are syndicated or if they are bilateral, the team can handle it. The banking law team can also turn their hand to matters such as project and asset finance and many other structured transactions as well as complex security sharing accessions.

Malcolm Pearson is a vital member of the banking law team, and is situated in our London office, he specialises in different forms of secured and unsecured credit loan companies, he also helps to put together priority arrangements and act on behalf of lenders, he has been qualified to practice banking and finance law for over eighteen years now so he really has seen everything and knows the ins and outs of the business like nobody else.

In the past year we have had another addition to the banking and finance group her name is Marjen Soklaski, She has valuable and extensive knowledge of banking and finance transactions, and will be controlling many deals with our international clients, such as their subordinated debts as well as intercreditor appointments, she was formally a partner at Lovells and has also been a solicitor for another reputable firm which was Clifford Chance. She is hoping to develop the activities within our finance department, this has been going on for a few years now but maybe a few extra outside ideas will help increase this.

Another Member of the banking law team is Noel McMichael, he is again in the London office working specifically for the dispute resolution department, he has worked in chancery on the commercial side and deals with insovency for many different corporations one of his main specialities is dealing with negligence claims against accountants and other professionals he has been a partner here at Penningtons for fifteen years now so he is really a part of the furniture.
