North America

Our North American practice group includes representatives from across the firm who have worked with US law firms or with US clients and acts as a focal point for instructions from the US. We have strong connections with North American law firms both through our Multilaw network and through personal contacts. We also maintain close links with the American community in the UK in particular through active membership of BritishAmerican Business Inc.

For business clients we deal with establishing operations in the UK, corporate and business acquisitions, banking and security transactions, US litigation involving UK parties as well as domestic litigation, intellectual property and commercial agreements, acquisition of commercial property and associated environmental law issues, employment and labour relations and immigration matters.

We advise individuals on everything that they need to do before coming to live here, including taking steps to obtain the maximum tax efficiency, ensuring that the right immigration planning has been implemented, acquiring property in the most effective manner, and having employment contracts properly structured.
