Katrina, a solicitor advocate with higher rights of audience in civil courts, joined Penningtons as a partner in 2000. She has acted for a number of professional regulatory bodies over a period of 35 years, undertaking the investigation and preparation of fitness to practise cases, advocacy before committees/tribunals and advising on appeals and judicial reviews. She is a panel solicitor for the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
She also sits as a legal assessor to fitness to practise committees. She is a tribunal judge on the Mental Health Review Tribunal, a legal chairman of Registration and Certification Appeals for the General Medical Council and is the Director of Appeals for the General Dental Council. She is Chairman of the Regulatory Board of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
