Pat joined Penningtons' highly successful immigration team as an associate in November 2009 and currently manages the case work team. She has over 15 years of experience practising in immigration and nationality law and currently advises education and corporate clients on sponsor compliance matters. She acts for tier 4 sponsors in relation to UKBA changes, HTS applications and the immigration aspects of joint ventures and partial takeovers, and often liaises with senior UKBA officials on behalf of clients to ensure that their proposed business plans meet the UKBA's requirements.
Pat's specialist areas of work also include immigration services for private individuals and she has a wealth of experience in dealing with human rights cases, appeals, judicial reviews and Court of Appeal matters. Pat co-convenes the Family and General ILPA sub-committee.
She was recently involved in English UK's high profile and successful High Court judicial review which resulted in education providers with a tier 4 sponsor licence once again being able to offer English language courses at A2 level. She is recommended by The Legal 500 where she is described as being 'full of common sense'.
