Julia joined Penningtons as a partner in September 2009, having spent 15 years in London building her reputation as a leading family lawyer. Her experience in financial work includes complex ancillary relief cases, financial claims on behalf of children and financial disputes between unmarried couples as well as between civil partners. She also specialises in divorce with an international element. Julia has extensive experience of children cases, especially those with international features. She is an experienced child abduction practitioner, provides expert legal advice on English law in foreign cases and advises on international relocation cases.
Julia is trained as a collaborative family law practitioner and is accredited as a specialist abduction and private law children solicitor by Resolution, the family law solicitors’ association. She is also a member of the Law Society’s family panel, a member of the Legal Working Group of Reunite, the child abduction charity, and a member of the International Bar Association.
