David was appointed chief executive of Penningtons in October 2008. He previously headed up the travel team. He has been a partner in the firm since 1991 and has many years' experience working for insurers and individuals in the areas of personal injury, particularly clinical negligence. In recent years he has specialised further concentrating on tortious and contractual claims arising from accidents abroad and acting for individuals, insurers, intermediaries and tour operators. In addition to an understanding of the law in different jurisdictions, handling foreign claims successfully requires experience of the cultural and procedural differences that exist around the globe as well as a tried and tested panel of foreign lawyers.
