Mark joined Penningtons from Irwin Mitchell in 2008 and is now the partner in charge of the travel law team. He primarily advises legal expenses insurers and their policy holders regarding compensation claims arising from accidents abroad, both in a claimant and defendant capacity. He also assists insurers with the recovery of their outlay and advises tour operators regarding their terms and conditions and other travel related matters. Mark is a fluent Spanish speaker and has previously acted on behalf of Spanish nationals and Spanish insurers regarding claims pursued in this jurisdiction in addition to representing English holidaymakers injured in Spain.
Mark is a member of the Travel and Tourism Lawyers Association, the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, the British Spanish Lawyers Association, the Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers and the Institute of Travel and Tourism. He is a regular commentator in the travel and legal press and has also represented Penningtons as a guest speaker at international travel insurance conferences and seminars. He is listed as a leader in his field by Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession.
