Hazar joined Penningtons' immigration team upon qualification in 2006. She specialises in all aspects of immigration and nationality law. Her current work focuses on advising corporate clients, many of which are large multinational organisations. She also plays a pivotal role in dealing with clients in the education sector where she has significant experience of working on judicial review cases challenging the UKBA's decisions to suspend and/or revoke tier 4 licences, reduce an education establishment's CAS allocation or deny HTS status. She provides clients with training, compliance and advisory services.
The breadth of her knowledge relating to both business and personal immigration applications is extensive. Her experience includes advising on entry clearance, extension and settlement, family members, work permits/tier 2, applications under the various categories of the points based system, EU law, freedom of movement, claims to British citizenship, naturalisation and registration applications. Fluent in French and Arabic, Hazar is a frequent speaker at seminars on corporate immigration and issues affecting the education sector. She has been recommended by The Legal 500 which describes her as 'very talented'.
