Ellis is a partner in the dispute resolution team dealing with advisory and dispute resolution work particularly in the areas of motor manufacturers and distributors. The type of work includes contractual claims, insolvency, property, injunctive relief, dealership agreements and finance.
He acted in the case of Nasser Malekshad v Howard de Walden Estates Limited, a House of Lords decision and a leading case under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967.
Ellis qualified as a solicitor in 1989. He joined Penningtons in 2004 from Mishcon de Reya and was made partner in 2006.
