David joined Penningtons in 2005 and is a partner in our employment team advising both employers and employees on the whole range of employment law issues. This includes employment contracts and policies, employee's rights, discrimination, termination and breaches of contracts, transfer of undertakings and litigation relating to these matters. His emphasis is on claims prevention and pro-active commercial solutions. He has extensive experience in client representation and advocacy in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal. He also advises on consultation obligations and liabilities under TUPE Regulations (in respect of sale and purchase agreements; outsourcing, privatisation, etc), discrimination and breach of contract claims, injunctions, staff consultation issues and the drafting of personnel policy documents.
David has considerable expertise in running pre-emptive training seminars to ensure corporate clients establish best practice procedures to cope with the continuing flow of new legislation.
