Penningtons welcomes leading immigration lawyer Nichola Carter

Penningtons Solicitors LLP is delighted to announce that Nichola Carter, who is recognised as one of the country's top immigration lawyers, has joined the firm as a partner in its expanding immigration team. Nichola will work alongside Philip Barth, head of the highly rated immigration practice at Penningtons' City office.

Nichola joins from Gherson, where she was a partner. She previously set up the immigration practice at H20 Law. She is described as 'a real dynamo' and 'formidable' by the Legal 500 and Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession respectively and has over ten years' experience of advising clients on all aspects of UK immigration law.

Nichola acts for companies in a variety of sectors, including telecoms, tobacco, retail, security, architecture, leisure and hospitality. As a leading expert on sponsor licence and civil penalty matters she is renowned for protecting her corporate clients against the risks associated with the new sponsor licence and points based system. She also has significant experience in advising individual clients, including celebrities, highly skilled individuals, investors and entrepreneurs.
