Penningtons sponsors Englands One Day International cricket captain

Penningtons Solicitors LLP is delighted to announce that it is the official sponsor of Paul Collingwood MBE, the England One Day International cricket captain. Penningtons is sponsoring Paul during the three England v India Test matches and the seven One Day Internationals against India taking place between July and September 2007.

Throughout the summer Test series and the One Day series - which include fixtures at Lord's, Trent Bridge, the Oval, Edgbaston, Headingley and Old Trafford - Paul will be playing with a bat bearing the Penningtons logo.

Paul made his England debut in One Day International cricket in 2001. His performance in the decisive fifth Test against Australia in summer 2005 helped ensure that England regained the Ashes for the first time in 18 years. This has been followed by a series of accomplished innings for England overseas, particularly in the 2006-07 Commonwealth Bank Series during which he became only the third English batsman to score a double hundred in Australia. Paul is also recognised as one of the finest fielders in the world and was named as one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 2007.
